Play’n GO Unveils New Testament Slot as Part of 2020 Roadmap

Online slots provider Play’n GO has promised an exciting 2020 roadmap and has so far delivered splendidly. But its latest slot release has arrived as one of the most daring titles in its ever-growing portfolio.

Play’n GO today debuted Testament, a 5×3 online slot celebrating American thrash metal band Testament and its critically acclaimed 2012 album Dark Roots of Earth.

The band’s artwork is featured prominently in every aspect of the game to set an apocalyptic tone that also defines the band’s music.

Testament opens to songs from Dark Roots of Earth and into a dark hall that further enhances the apocalyptic feel of the game. Play’n GO’s newest slot starts with a 5×3 grid that expands during the game’s features. Base mode comes with 243 win ways.

A look at the table gives the same intense vibes as Testament’s whole atmosphere. The lowest paying symbols are represented by the J-A card royals. The developer has used the same font that is used on the band’s logo, which is certainly a touch that would be appreciated by Testament fans.

The higher paying symbols include a shield, a creepy looking man on a throne, a werewolf, a vampire, and a horned skull. The skull is the highest paying symbol, awarding 25 times a player’s bet for five of a kind.

It should also be noted that the skull has the ability to transform into a Wild randomly within a spin during base game. It always transforms into a Wild during special features.

A thrash metal demon acts as the game’s Wild and can substitute for all other game symbols except the Scatter. As for the Scatter, it is the Dark Roots of Earth album cover and is the symbol that triggers all of the Testament slot’s special features.

The Game’s Features

Testament is packed with three bonus features for enhanced win potential. The first feature – Song Features – is triggered when two Scatters hit the reels during base game. Once the bonus game is unlocked, players get three free spins and they can play out in three ways:

  • Cold Embrace where any Wild landing on the reels sticks to the grid and remains there throughout the feature;
  • Dark Roots of Earth where the skull symbol spreads up or down on the reel;
  • Throne of Thorns – where the grid expands from a 5×3 set to a 4-5-6-5-4 one to increase payways to 2,400.

When 3 or more Scatters hit the reels, the Rise Up Spins feature is triggered and awards players nine free spins. The reels expand to 4-5-6-5-4 during this feature with nine spaces at the top of the grid being blocked off by stone blockers. Every time a Scatter lands, it smashes through a stone blocker to expand the reel even more.

Smashing all nine stone blockers unlocks the Testament Spins feature. Players are given three free spins in addition to their remaining ones from the Rise Up Spins feature. All remaining spins combine all of the powers of the Song Features for the ultimate thrill.

Commenting on their latest slot release, Play’n GO Chief Product Officer Martin Zettergren said that “creating a slot based on a band or artist carries an extra weight to its” as “you have to create a fun, unique slot for players to enjoy, byt also represent the band and their music to fans accurately.”

Australia introduces a roadmap to blockchain adoption

Australia is embracing blockchain technology and is on a mission to make the most of this innovation. While the country is still one of the hubs for blockchain, there is still a lot to be done on the government’s part, to make sure that the adoption rate keeps growing and the services across the spectrum make good use of the innovation.

The fact that blockchain will inevitably become an integral part of contemporary society is indisputable, meanwhile, though, every country that wants to maintain a technological edge is trying to maximize the gains and improve the existing state of the blockchain. The technology is getting attention from all around the world and the unexplored potential of this innovation could drastically improve a lot of businesses and services, making them faster, more transparent and most importantly – profitable.

Blockchain is already a huge part of the Australian day-to-day services. The country’s love for crypto is well known and Aussies have embraced different sorts of e-Wallets, using them almost as often as traditional payment methods. Accepting blockchain-based crypto payments is a common thing in the country, gaining more popularity than in any other place in the world. Many entertainment centres, such as shops and online casinos in Australia accept crypto payments and are specifically catered to that group of consumers. They have become an essential part of Australia’s financial industry, and now the country is looking to expand the benefits of blockchain technology.

National Blockchain Roadmap

Recently, the Australian government introduced a 32-step guideline that is supposed to help the country on its journey to fully embracing blockchain technology, in order to generate more income for the country. The National Blockchain Roadmap is a detailed description of the government’s plan of making blockchain more profitable and mainstream.

The roadmap is a 52-page document that was released by the Minister for Industry, Science, and Technology with help from industry experts and universities, who formed an Advisory Committee. The Australian government wants to use blockchain for international investments and collaborations, to enhance the skills, capability and innovative movements and hopes to work on and improve its existing regulations and standards when it comes to blockchain technology.

Importance of regulations

While many discussions centre around blockchain technology, when it comes to regulations, most of the country is still figuring it out. Since the nature of blockchain is something completely new to the regulatory bodies, they often find it hard to strike the right balance between security and freedom. This new roadmap hopes to create an ecosystem where blockchain technology thrives and where its capabilities can be fully explored in a safe and regulated environment.

As mentioned in the National Blockchain Roadmap, Australia will focus on supporting global supply chain management systems and will further look into the tracking of assets through blockchain. The decentralized aspect of the technology is what makes it so popular, and it also represents the main commitment on Australia’s part to embrace this approach and promote decentralized management and distribution. Transitioning towards blockchain-based management could save a lot of money and improve customer experience. There are, however, new challenges that most people haven’t had a chance to deal with yet. The need for identity checks and security has never been so high. The regulations regarding the legitimacy of blockchain platforms need to be altered to ensure the quality of these services and information is maintained through and through.

The Blockchain capital

Australia has ambitious plans to become the global leader in the digital economy, in a ten-year period. Their efforts, when it comes to blockchain technology, have served as a testament to their commitment to this long-term leadership goals.

Ths roadmap has 12 steps that need to be completed by 2025, and the committee will provide support and advice for anyone who wants to get into this industry and is willing to contribute to the long term goals of the Australian government – concerning blockchain adoption and utilization. The committee will provide accessible information about the existing government programs, making services more popular.

This roadmap is one of the first of its type in the world. The countries are mostly hesitant to prioritize this technology and focus so heavily on development and adoption levels.

Microgaming Unveils 2020 Roadmap with 100 Exclusive Casino Games

Isle of Man casino content provider Microgaming once again took part in ICE London, one of the largest and busiest annual gambling industry events, with an iconic stand and an even more iconic selection of soon-to-be-released gaming titles.

During the major conference and exhibition event that took place at ExCeL London last week, Microgaming announced that it would release more than 100 exclusive titles this year and would add another 240 games by third-party provider partners to its content aggregation platform.

Over the three days of the iGaming show, Microgaming, along with nine independent studios it has been working with, showcased some of those forthcoming exclusive games that it will soon roll out across its network of clients.

The game reveals were all pretty spectacular and the celebratory mood at Microgaming’s stand was amped up by a professional DJ.

ICE London Day 1

During the first day of the gaming show, Microgaming unveiled one of several branded games that it is set to roll out on its content aggregator later this year. The Isle of Man-based gaming provider announced the upcoming launch of the Game of Thrones Power Stacks online slot that was developed by Slingshot Studios.

Game of Thrones Power Stacks is the second branded slot celebrating one of the most popular TV shows in the history of television to be distributed by Microgaming.

A busy day on the conference and exhibition floor was wrapped up with an exclusive party for Microgaming’s clients at Peruvian restaurant COYA in the heart of Mayfair in the British capital.

ICE London Day 2

The second day of the show saw Microgaming and Triple Edge Studios unveil a magical world of riches in the new Sisters of Oz progressive slot. The game features the newly revamped WowPot jackpot.

Triple Edge Studios, the studio behind the highly successful Book of Oz slot, also teased the Attack on Retro slot as well as one more progressive slot title – Absolootly Mad – which will feature the hit Mega Moolah progressive jackpot.

Toward the end of the second day of the major event, Microgaming showcased its new deadmau5 branded online slot. The game is inspired by the globally popular electronic music artist’s most recent tour, cube v3.

ICE London Day 3

On the final day of the show, delegates who stopped by Microgaming’s stand were shipped back to 90s action with the reveal of the new Aurora Beast Hunter slot by Just For The Win. The indie gaming studio is also set to release the Treasure Skyland and Anderthals slots later this year.

Several beloved characters will make their return to Microgaming’s content portfolio this year. As announced earlier this month, Microgaming will soon release its second Tarzan slot. Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar was developed by Fortune Factory Studios and is set to be rolled out four years after the original Tarzan slot came out.

Acclaimed explorer Victoria and industrious inventor Maximillian will also return in Fortunium Gold, a new slot from Stormcraft Studios. That game will, too, feature the WowPot jackpot.

Gameburger Studios will serve up 9 Pots of Gold and 11 Champions Golden Goal this year. Neon Valley Studios will release the Age of Conquest and the Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah progressive jackpot slot in the coming months.

Foxium, another highly creative studio Microgaming has been working with, unveiled the 3 Tiny Gods and Cossacks: Wild Hunt slots during ICE London. Estonia-based All41 Studios will roll out several new games this year, including Mayan Eagle and Arena of Gold.

Last but not least, table games specialist Switch Studios unveiled its modern take on ancient dice game Sic Bo that will further enhance Microgaming’s portfolio of table games.
